Adelphi Plant Hire Centres Ltd was formed in 1983 as a small tools and non-mechanical plant hire company. In 1995, due to trading changes, the directors decided to hire portable toilets as a sideline. This side of the business soon grew, and the trading name Adeloo was created.

Adeloo soon branched out into event hire, participating in supplying the London Marathon, BBC presentations, live stage work, video shoots etc. The company was soon serving many units out of hours, overnight, etc.

Within a short period, the ‘sideline’ had become the prime hire division with the purchase of disabled, shower, and nappy changing units, culminating in the purchase of single luxury units c/w solar panels, lights, freshwater flush, etc.

They currently have four pumping trucks on the road, covering areas from Reading to Watford to Southend, all of Kent and Surrey, and parts of Sussex, carrying out the weekly servicing of their own and customer’s units.

They are also active members of the PSE (Portable Sanitation Europe) who are aiming to enhance the portable accommodation industry with regard to legislation and health matters.
